BEHIND THE SCENES.....
THE MICAH STORY
With the exception of Melvin Nobody, the male owners in the league are husbands and therefore will readily understand the following truism. They take their wives to the meeting or in field service, and the other friends look at them and say "awwwww, they look so nice and so happy together. I need a spouse just like that!!! (or worse "I wish my spouse was just like that") But the reality of the situation is that the husband (or wife) is the only one that TRULY knows their spouse, because they are the only one that lives with them day in and day out...... which brings us to "Behind the Scenes With Micah Parsons".....
Only Cory
knows that Yaz aka Kim can't boil an egg or make pancakes and snores like the rumbling of a DART train!!! Well.......... lets move on... But yall get the point...
Point is.... only the people that truly had to "live" with Micah know the real issues that were unseen by the public.... Issues that played a part in his being traded away to play in the cold wintry, outdoors of Green Bay Wisconsin. Booted out of the Garden of Jerry World into a cold, harsh reality of growing old in a barren little town, shoveling snow for four months out of each year, and playing the majority of his remaining career in the cold elements until he grows too old to continue a dying career.
While the pundits put 95% blame on Jerry for this situation (I'd say that 60% should be on JJ), what they don't know comes from those who lived in the locker room with Micah.... For example:
Reports from those behind the scene who had tired of his weekly Podcast, in which, in some cases, Micah threw his own teammates under the bus... Reports from those in the lockerroom who felt that his podcast was more important to him than reporting on time for team meetings and focusing on learning the playbook.
There were growing reports from coaches who said that Micah was undisciplined and on more than one occasion would go away from the defensive play calls in an effort to play hero ball.
The lack of leadership on his part, which was very apparent when he walked out of the media room without talking to the media after their devasting loss to (of all people) GB in their last playoff game, the same game that Micah only recorded one sack.... The same lack of leadership that was shown in the picture above.... lying on the training table, asleep, while he teammates fought for their jobs.
Basically, according to his own teammates, there were many who didn't like Micah and were happy that he was traded. Somewhere in Seattle, DeMarcus Lawrence is laughing.....
Not to Mention...
the financial debacle Dallas would have been locked into had they signed Micah to the terms GB did. GB signed him for a record breaki;ng 188 million, with 136 mil guaranteed at 47 million per year. JJ offered to pay him 40 mil per year. Had JJ signed Micah to the deal he got from GB, there would have been NO money left to pay upcoming extensions (Bland, Pickens, Tyler Smith etc) in the future. You can't tie up your entire wallet into 3 players. (Dak, CD, Micah).
If K.B. Watkins only makes 2000.00 a month, but he chooses to allocate/spend 700.oo on eating out, another 400.00 on suits, and another 400.00 on Cowboy tickets, but he has a rent payment of 1000.00 on the horizon, then we got a real problem on our hands!!! Now I agree, JJ should NOT have tied up so much money into Dak. THATs where he went wrong. But that's water behind the bridge.
In conclusion...
I think JJ finally got it right this time. JJ in effect said "My financial situation does not justify spending 188 million dollars on one player!" Save the $$ spent on Micah and invest it into multiple good players and draft picks. Yes, Micah is a generational talent, but facts show that he falls off in December and in the playoffs. Yes, he gets sacks but teams are learning how to scheme him out of games, (ie: run the ball). We (probably) aren't going to win the SB this year anyway, so invest in the future. Use the money and picks on more talent and let Micah get his sacks and do his podcast in the snow......
MEANWHILE.... WEEK FOUR will give us Micah vrs the Cowboys on SNF!!! THAT will definitely be the game of the week!!! Stay tuned.....
Fake news and lies in this Raggedy Corral.
