PLAYOFFS ARE HERE!!!!
Hard to believe that it was just a few weeks ago that we were engaged in the Draft for the 20th season of NWSL and now we are now headed to the FIRST WEEK of THE PLAYOFFS!!! (click the hyperlink) begin next week!! Lets get right into this!!

THE PLAYOFFS, better known as The Race To the Trophy, has officially begun with the final six qualifers now on board. Lets review the regular season survivors and how they got here....
THE TWO BYES.....

MELLY MEL aka daHEAVYHITTERS, ( a throwback to his Season 1 name) finished his season with a 12-2 record. He has remained the top tier team the entire season and is only two wins away from a second title. By our records, Mel won a NWSL title a some years ago. We need Mood Meister, the keeper of the scrolls, to confirm this, however. Melvin's record means he does not play this week. Congrats to him on a great regular season.

BIGGIE PLANZ came in second place with a 10-4 record thanks to his regular season loss to a desparate Jungle Bunz team. Biggie does not play this week, having secured a first round bye.

The Corral will delve more into their seasons next week when they are scheduled to play.....
DAkidd (9-5)

daKidd literally scratched and clawed his way from the bottom of the league to ending up in third place. Kidd is currently on a six-game winning streak, the longest winning streak of the season, with only daHeavyHitters on their heels with its 5-game winning streak. So confident is daKidd that he will end up in the title game that he has already began chatter with Melly Mel about a title matchup between the two of them. To pull that off, Kidd has to extend his winning streak to at least 8 games, with a 9-game winning streak giving him the Trophy! I'm sure Biggle Planz has something to say about that, as well as the other playoff teams. We shall see if Kidds first loss comes within the next three weeks. ​
JUNGLE BUNZ 8-6
JB ends his regular season in fourth place thanks to a HUGE UPSET over Biggle Planz last week. Suffice to say that JB was sending chocolates and flowers (he can't afford Rolexes) to the Houston Texans defense for their stellar performance last week, holding Biggie Planz' Pattie Mahomes and Rasheed Rice to 17 and 7 points respectively. Combine that with a 54-point game by JB's Pucca Pa-Chua, and you see why he won a game that he needed to win to get into the playoffs.
THE O.C. 7-7

And speaking of handing out chocolates and flowers, The O.C. will be sending Saquon Barkley a very nice piece of arm jewelry, (because The O.C. can afford to, using his Black Card, to purchase the gift). Why Barkley? The O.C. had already done all he could do by beating PeggyLeggy on Sunday. But he had to hope that KC could somehow upset RyanDay on Monday night. Things didn't look so good for the O.C. as he watched the hated Eagles putrid offense put up 5 turnovers against the Chargers. But the fortunes of the The O.C. literally changed on one play. The moment that won a playoff ticket for the O.C. was Saquon's 52-yard TD run against the Chargers.
That play propelled the desparate for a win O.C. into the playoffs, and, at the time, temporarily knocked "Melvin Is My Daddy" aka Ryan Day, aka FireMarshallBill out of the playoffs. Diggy's loss combined with HoldMyBeers loss, put Diggy back into the playoff field.
OH RYAN DAY!! 7-7
Oh Ryan Day ends his regular season in sixth place as Oh Ryan Day was literally singing "Oh Happy Day" when he got the great news that despite his loss to KCNoStars, he was not actually knocked out of the playoffs. You see, after he lost to KC, The O.C. was bumped down to the 6th and final spot in the playoffs and Hold My Beer held the 5th spot because of accumulated points. But then the unthinkable happened, which leads us to theGamebelow.......

All he had to do was beat NYSkylines to get/keep his chair in the playoffs. But he Just. Couldn't. Do. It. TeamSkyCries upset Mikey 179-176, knocking Mikey from the Trophy Bowl to the Participation Trophy Bowl. At the same time, it breathed life into the "Image (of the real) Commisioner" and a place in the Trophy Bowl. You have to imagine that Mikey will NOT BE sending flowers, chocolates, watches or anything to his TE, Travis Kelce. If anything, Mikey should be on Amazon, purchasing and sending some old school "StickEm" to Kelce. You know, that stuff that WR/TE's used to apply to their hands so that the ball would literally stick to their hands when they attempted to catch a pass. Cause Kelce is the SOLE REASON Mikey lost this game. Kelce dropped TWO PASSES that hit him dead in the hands and bobbled a third that hit him in the hands that resulted in an interception. THREE DROPPED/BOBBLED TARGETS. And how many points did Mikey lose by? THREE. If Kelce catches those passes, thats three points right there, not to mention the points he gets for yardage. And yes, the cameras caught Taylor Swift in her suite, as she swiftly threw her beer cans across the room when her soon-to-be ex boyfriend repeatedly dropped beer, oops, pass after pass............ Sorry Mikey. Travis left you out of the playoffs, holding your beer......... hehehehehehe.. Somewhere in Diggyland, a swiftly sent Amazon gift and thank you was put in the mail to Travis and the Swifties!!!!
ROUND ONE PLAYOFF MATCHUPS..........

JUNGLE BUNZ 8-6 VRS. THE O.C. 7-7
GAME ONE of the First Round features Little Brother vrs Big Brother in the 4pm Prime Time Game.
These two siblings played each other back in Week 6 with Bigger Brother smacking Litt'ler Brother around 216-171. The huge reason for The O.C.s win that week was at the RB position where The O.C.'s Devon Achane outran JB's Javonte Williams 47-8. Both of these two will suit up this week, so we shall see who shows up and shows out this time around. For JB, the WR combo of Puke'A and Jamarr have been a nightmare, especially Puke. And now that Jamarr has Joe Burrow tossing him the ball again, this could be a problem for the O.C. whose WR Rome "Has Literrally been Lost In a Day" being a literal no-show the last few weeks. This will be a miracle if Biggie Brother wins this week.........

GAME TWO of the First Round features KiddiePooPoo vrs "MelvinsMyPappy" in the Sunday Night PrimeTime Game

This will be a rematch of their Week 5 game where daKidd easily put out the Fire 222-161. Rico Dowdle (55pts) led all scorers for daKidd, and Rico is still showing off. Alot has changed with both lineup since then. Jayden Daniels is out and Sam Darnold is in for MelvinsMyPappy at the QB position. For daKiddiePoo, Jaxon Throws Dartz gets the nod over Deions kid. Yahoo predicts a win for Kidd, but we shall see............
